Confessions of a Shopaholic

So recently I've become an addict to buying things online. It may not sound shocking, but for me it is. I've never been much of a shopper in fact I hate it. All that hustle and bustle, elbowing people out of the way to get the item you want-OK so that is quite fun-, not finding the item in your size!! It's taken some 20 odd years, but finally the shopping bug has infected me.

Alas luckily I haven't been clothes shopping it's been fabric shopping from the good old eBay which I found some good fabric bundles on at very low prices. So make sure when buying you consider eBay too. Another site I just-literally today!-ordered a fair amount of fabric from, plus a fabric starter kit is Eternal Maker I've fallen in love with this site. They have a great selection of collections from some of the biggest and best fabric designers. The sale fabrics are decently priced. I'll be looking forward to having parcels to open in the week. I do love opening parcels and seeing what I get., considering I always go for the random selection just for a surprise. I'll post pictures as and when I receive the packages

I also had a look in my indoor market and another shop in Bury Park and bought a few solid colours from them. I thought to look in the charity shop too as they have old clothes at low prices that can be cut for the fabric, I did find 3 things in there.

A change of heart

So my father eventually came round and decided he would sell me the sewing machine making it officially mine. Woo, now I'll have 2 machines oh the joy. I can't take the other one back as they won't give me a refund or shop vouchers. It'll come in very handy in the future...
Been finding other fabric sites thanks to Very Berry Handmade. Site is great for tutorials, recipes and other random information on everything crafty.
I plan to make a wishlist soon there are some fabrics I really want to get....just at a later date when I've saved up some money. Then I'll go crazy buy a whole load and add some more to my stash =D

A few days ago I found a post about featuring half square triangle hexagons. I wish I had bookmarked the page, because now I don't remember who's blog it was on and I was really interested in trying it out.

The Scrapaholic

I recently purchased some scrap bundles from M is for make. I opened them to find an array of different fabrics some I adored and other's I thought hmm I can use these for something I just don't know what yet.  Now I'm seeing all the giveaways with scraps as prizes and I think wow, I wouldn't mind those. Scraps are so perfect for making anything with as I'm a lover of the more random things in life.

Looking into getting some more actually. So if anyone knows of any sites that offer bundles whether it be fat eight's, fat sixteenths, fat quarters, jelly rolls etc.....please post a link...my fabric buying fingers are itching to find some new ones.....
