So today was my first day at work!
It was a good day, everyone was really friendly and helpful. I was put on labels for the majority of the day as there was a big delivery and most of the things were to be shipped out from it today. I'm not quite sure how many labels I had to make possibly over 150...
Then I sorted some dispatches for the last hour and a half. The company deals with varies household appliances and major companies dealing with them. We sort out shipping, and returns. It's a confusing process which I'll eventually get used to.
Getting back home I felt kind of blah...mainly as I have no current sewing projects on the go that aren't for me. I need to think up some things to make for the few hours before dinner.
I got my paper pieced blocks sewn up with a few errors and miscalculations of fabric!
All nice and unironed or trimmed (I didn't have the chance before dinner)
I also coloured the sketch for my quilt pattern, which took a little longer than expected.
It possibly needs more green, but too late now I'm not changing it! I'm hoping it works out better than the first MAM quilt I made it's a simple piecing design so it should go smoothly.
Well I should be getting to bed....
Siya'll tomorrow =D
YAY! for a new job, I hope it doesn't tire you out too much everyday!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new job! That's great!
ReplyDeleteLoving the bright fabrics you've been using - your quilt sketch looks fab!
Glad the first day at work went well. The first couple of days are a bit draining arn't they: when you're learning everything from scratch!
ReplyDeleteIt will look perfect:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the job. Your quilt design looks nice. I don't think it needs more green.
