The Back-up

So a while back, around the time I bought the sewing machine that has now decided it will stop working, my dear father came home with one. I looked at it and thought what on earth!, That machine is huge! In good grace however I tried it out. For the life of me I couldn't get it to stitch the way I wanted so I left it to one side and said I would never use it again.
Today though I remembered it and looked for the book to read the instructions. I soon realised I was an idiot, had I read the manual completely I would have understood how to use the machine correctly. Hanging my head in shame I took the machine out of the cover, set it up an lo and behold it worked perfectly. This allowed me to complete project 1 the Double four patch cushion cover.

  1. I broke 3 machines before I learned to read the manual. Sound dumb but it happened. The other important thing is to learn to clean it. Change needles if you use it every day once a month or after doing big projects. I use a big hand painting brush that seems to attract dust, make since? Mine I bought when I was using perfect pearls dust on handmade cards, it works great. If you have no idea what I am talking about I will take a pic of mine. It is about 1/2 inch wide - bristles.

  2. Something on the inside of my other machine broke, luckily it can be repaired free of charge I was expecting to have to pay. The one above comes with a better instruction manual on how to clean it, take it apart etc. Is it like a make up brush?
